4. Control the Thickness of the Spent Grains Layer

5. Maintain a Suitable pH Value
Maintain the mash pH between 5.5 and 5.8, which is a suitable range for efficient filtration. A pH value that is too high or too low may affect the filtration speed and overall lautering process.
