How to Adjust the Miller Rollers Clearance?

Proper roller clearance is essential for achieving a consistent malt crush and ensuring the best brewing performance. Follow the steps below to inspect and adjust your malt mill safely.

Step 1

First please check if there is any loosen connection.

 

Miller inspection: check the miller’s hopper for impurities;

 

check miller roller with good condition.

 

Step 2

The roller clearance was factory set, please loosen the outer locking nut if you need to adjust the clearance of roller.

 

And adjust the two handwheels at the same time.

 

Turning to the left together is small clearance, and turning it to the right together is big clearance.

 

After the adjustment, tighten the nuts.

 

Step 3

After roller clearance finishing adjustment , please repeat miller checking as step 1 before starting.
