Why Do We Need A Glycol Water Tank?

Why Do We Need A Glycol Water Tank?

For a complete beer brewing system, the glycol chilling unit is very important.
It guarantees the glycol water supply of the entire system. The glycol water could be used for wort cooling, fermenters cooling, bright beer tanks cooling etc.
It is consist of glycol chiller, glycol water tank, glycol water pump, and sometimes a cold water tank.

And why do we need a glycol water tank?

There is no self contained reservoir for the glycol with our standard chiller. So an extra glycol water tank will be needed for glycol water supply and storage.

The glycol water is cooled in the chiller and will be transferred for cooling. Then the warmed glycol water returned to the glycol water tank. If the temperature of glycol water raise to a certain temperature which is set for cooling, the chiller start working. This process will keep repeating.

How do you think of that? Any idea or discussion will be highly welcomed.
