The Basic Structure and Performance of Cylindrical Conical Tanks
1.The Characteristic of Beer Cylindrical Conical Tanks
-The CCT equips 60~90 degree cone bottom, that is convenient to recycle yeast after main fermentation being finished.
-There is dual zone in sidewall and cone dimple cooling jacket with glycol inlet and outlet, and that is very helpful for precipitation and preservation of yeast.
- It's a sealed tank that can recycle carbon dioxide as well as carbon dioxide washing.
-CCT can be used as a fermentation tank and also can be used as a storage tank.
-The natural convection in the fermentation tank is stronger, the higher the tank, the stronger the convection.
-The intensity of convection is related to the shape of the tank, the size of the capacity and the control of the cooling system.
-CCT has a certain height, and the yeast that is more cohesive is easier to separated, and the yeast that is poorly cohesive needs to be separated by other means.
-CCT is not only suitable for top-fermenting, but also for bottom-fermenting.
2.Structure and size
It has been proved that the highest liquid level of fermentable wort in the fermentation tank is 15 meters.
And the ratio of diameter to height (1:3)~(1:5) is appropriate.
3.Production material of CCT
The finish of the interior surface is very important. There are no gaps in the microscopic examination. Precision of stainless steel plate polishing can be improved by proper plane processing method.
Roller processing can reach 0.6~0.8μm, polishing processing can reach 0.4~0.5μm, electronic polishing can reach 0.3~0.4μm.
Especially at the bottom of the tank and the outlet of beer, its accuracy has to be higher to prevent microorganisms from surviving on rough surfaces. The size of yeast cells is about 6~10μm, and the size of bacteria is only 0.7~4μm.
It is extremely important to polish the surface of the tank, and also relieve the pressure of cleaning and sterilizing.
4.Insulation of CCT
The fermentation tank should be well insulated to reduce the cooling consumption in the production process.
We adopted the high density 80mm polyurethane foam as insulation in our factory, and this kind of material has the characteristics of low thermal conductivity, small density, low absorption rate and not easy to burn.There is also a protective layer outside the insulation, so all the fermenters made in our company are very shiny and well-made.
